Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?

More than 55% of dirt, debris, bacteria and allergens trapped in your carpet are carried in by your feet. In order to keep your carpets clean and home free from harmful air quality you need to have a powerful steam cleaning system. We perform all our cleaning with professional truck mounted equipment.

Our system heats the water to 240° which, along with our detergent, penetrates the carpet all the way threw and extracts the pollutants embedded in your carpet. Where other systems, rental or dry cleaning, reach only the top portion of your carpet our method reaches the entire carpet pile.

What do I need to do to prepare for my cleaning service?

We recommend that you remove all possible items from the rooms that are going to be cleaned. We can help with moving small to medium size furniture for a small fee. If our technicians have to spend time clearing the rooms to be cleaned an hourly fee will be added.

Please vacuum the rooms to be cleaned of large debris. This will speed the time of getting your home back in order.

Adequate lighting is helpful so that our specialists can properly asses your carpet needs.

How often should I clean my carpets?

Leading carpet manufactures recommend steam cleaning your carpets every 6-12 months.

This extends the life of your carpet and protects them from being scratched and dulled by daily use.

Do you charge for stains in my carpet?

Our steam cleaning system removes 90-95% of all household stains. There are certain red, blue and pet urine stains that require additional treatment.

If your carpet has significant red or pet urine stains there will be an additional fee to treat the affected area.

Do you ever encounter stains that do not come out?

Yes. Some high traffic areas can become scratched by abrasive debris and irreversibly damaged. One way to prevent this type of damage is to periodically steam clean your carpets. This removes the harmful dirt, sand and irritants from permanently dulling your carpet.

During your home inspection our technician will inspect the
carpet and notify you of any areas of concern.

What if I have a lot of pet odor and urine stains?

Pet stains are different from other stains. The urine, which contains ammonia, gets down into the carpet and padding, even if you clean it up quickly. An animals’ sense of smell is greater than ours and if the carpets have not been treated the smell will reinforce their natural instinct to keep using that same spot.

Our deep cleaning system along with our special pet stain and odor cleaning agent, liquefies the acid in the urine and extracts it from your carpet.

This process requires additional treatment and the extra charge depends on the amount of areas needing to be treated.

What about red stains?

Red stains are very stubborn stains due to the red dye. They require additional treatment. The charge for removing red stains depends on the amount of carpet stained.

Do I really need 3M Scotchgard?

3M Scotchgard is a carpet protector that repels liquids so that spills can be
blotted up quickly and easily. The best time to apply it to your carpet is right
after they have been steam cleaned.

Vacuuming is also more effective with Scotchgard Protector. Dirt is more
easily picked-up and fewer passes are required with the vacuum.

It helps protect against, oil and water based stains, fruit drinks, soft drinks, coffee, food or pet stains. It also helps carpet and upholstery to stay cleaner longer and it helps release dirt and debris next time you have your carpets cleaned.

How often do I need to have Scotchgard applied to my carpet?

Scotchgard will stay active on your carpet until the next time your carpets are steam cleaned. The pH of the deep cleaning detergents removes the Scotchgard from your carpet fibers and will need to be reapplied after they are cleaned.

Are there any hidden fees?

We are upfront and honest about our service fees. The price will only change if you request additional services such as; grout and tile, upholstery or rug cleaning, furniture moved or if you are needing a pet or red stain removed.

Our specialist will be glad to go over the cost with you before they start cleaning.

Are your technicians certified?

Our technicians are certified by IICRC. They are very knowledgeable about your carpet and are very thorough and detail oriented. Our goal is to revitalize your carpet to make you love it all over again.

The cooler air extracts the moisture from your carpet faster. We also place carpet fans, when time permits, in the cleaned areas to help speed up the drying time.
